TLT Course Information

  • This course is not a Pathfinder Certification course by building a portfolio and having a Portfolio Review.  Rather it is intended to be a self-study course for the purpose of equipping the local Pathfinder club leaders in the fundamental aspects of operating a successful TLT ministry.  The learning experience will be helpful for all club staff who desire to transition their Pathfinder ministry into a Leadership Skills Development Program for their teens.
  • This course is part of a series of TLT Staff Training Courses.  Additional courses include: TLT Mentor Operations, Area/District Coordinator Operations, Conference Director / TLT Coordinator Operations, TLT Instructor Operations.
  • A club must be in operation for at least one year prior to launching a Teen Leadership Training ministry.  This is because TLT ministry and its training tasks are built on the Pathfinder club Investiture Achievement curriculum and the staff, as well as the Teens, must have completed one year of Investiture Achievement.  The staff member who leads the TLT program at the club-level should be an invested Master Guide because the TLT program integrates Master Guide training into its training requirements.  This course will assist all club staff in preparation for launching a TLT ministry.
  • Facilitating all the components of TLT Ministry is a complex and sometimes confusing work; especially for staff who are unfamiliar with the TLT program. It is natural to feel lost or confused at times.  This training will cover the vast majority of questions so don’t get discouraged as you work through the training. The effort and completion is a reward worth the work.
