Welcome. We are so happy you are considering the completion of Course 1 as part of WIN! Wellness. Why are the topics of medical missionary and health evangelism critical in today’s world? How can you as an individual improve your lifestyle as well as help others? Course 1 introduces you, the learner to the resources of WIN! Wellness with emphasis directed toward 8 principles of health. We are excited about sharing the information with you. It is our prayer you will be excited as well and interested in changing the health outcomes for your life and for others.
After watching the videos, completing course learning materials and completing corresponding learning activities, and taking short multiple choice quizzes, you’ll earn _____continuing education units (CEUs) and a training certificate.
By the end of this course you will know how to access WIN! Wellness resources, see the connection between medical missionary work and the Third Angel’s Message, and understand different facets of healing and wellness.
Doctors John and Millie Youngberg, Professors Emeriti of Andrews University, taught most of their professional careers at Andrews University School of Education as well as founded and directed Family Life International for 24 years. Authors of more than 35 books, they have dedicated their lives, since 2002, to the WIN! Wellness-On the Path to Health and Healing Ministry. The WIN! Wellness program has gone global, being translated into 31 languages and taught in over 40 countries on 6 continents. What is the purpose of WIN! Wellness? – to help people LIVE – live longer, healthier, happier, and holier. John and Millie have demonstrated a passion to train and equip every interested individual with the skills to change their life and the lives of others. They have received honors from the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. In 2014, John and Millie were recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Health Ministries Department, and in 1998 they received the Distinguished Service Award for outstanding contribution from the Family Ministries Department. Millie passed to her rest in April 2018. John continues sharing WIN! Wellness with the world.
Wes, the son of John and Millie, is an assistant clinical professor for both the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University. He is an important member of the WIN! Wellness team, co-author of WIN! Wellness materials, and author of the books Goodbye Diabetes, Hello Healthy!, and Memory Makeover-Preventing Alzheimer’s and Reversing Cognitive Decline the Natural Way.
