Step 1: Change the export resolution setting<\/h2>\n

Important<\/span>
\nFollow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.<\/p>\n

By default, the export resolution of a PowerPoint slide that you want to save as a picture is 96<\/strong> dots per inch (dpi). To change the export resolution, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Exit all Windows-based programs.<\/li>\n
  2. Click Start<\/strong>, and then click Run<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. In the Open<\/strong> box, type regedit<\/span>, and then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Locate one of the following registry subkeys, depending on the version of PowerPoint that you’re using:\n

  5. Click the Options<\/strong> subkey, point to New<\/strong> on the Edit<\/strong> menu, and then click DWORD Value<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. Type ExportBitmapResolution<\/span>, and then press Enter.<\/li>\n
  7. Make sure that ExportBitmapResolution<\/strong> is selected, and then click Modify<\/strong> on the Edit<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n
  8. In the Edit DWORD Value<\/span> dialog box, click Decimal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  9. In the Value data<\/strong> box, type the value of the resolution that you want such as 300<\/span>. Or, use the parameters in the following table.\n

  10. Click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  11. On the File<\/strong> menu, click Exit<\/strong> to exit Registry Editor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Step 2: Export the slide as a picture<\/h2>\n

    1. In PowerPoint, open your slide presentation, and then open the slide that you want to export.<\/li>\n
    2. On the File<\/strong> menu, click Save As<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. In the Save as type<\/strong> box, select one of the following picture formats:\n
