Goal:<\/strong> Copy effects\/settings from one clip and apply them to one or more other clips in the Edit<\/strong> page timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Go to the Edit page.<\/strong>
    Click the Edit<\/strong> workspace at the bottom of Resolve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select the source clip.<\/strong>
    In the timeline, click the clip that already has the settings you want.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Copy the clip\u2019s attributes.<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Mac:<\/strong> Cmd+C<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Windows:<\/strong> Ctrl+C<\/code>
      (You can also right-click the clip \u279c Copy<\/strong>.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Select the target clip(s).<\/strong>
      Click the clip you want to update.\n

      • To paste to multiple clips, Shift-click a range or Cmd\/Ctrl-click to pick several.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Open Paste Attributes.<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Mac:<\/strong> Option+V<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Windows:<\/strong> Alt+V<\/code>
          (Or right-click on a selected target clip \u279c Paste Attributes\u2026<\/strong>. You can also use Edit <\/strong>\u279c<\/strong> Paste Attributes\u2026<\/strong> from the top menu.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Choose what to paste.<\/strong>
          In the dialog, tick only the attributes you want (common options include Transform<\/strong>, Cropping<\/strong>, Composite<\/strong>, Retime<\/strong>, Stabilization<\/strong>, OFX\/Plugins<\/strong>, Audio Volume\/Pan\/EQ<\/strong>, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Apply.<\/strong>
          Click Apply<\/strong>. The chosen settings are pasted to all selected target clips.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Quick notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          • Multiple clips:<\/strong> You can paste to many clips at once\u2014select them all before Step 5.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Audio vs Video:<\/strong> Audio attributes are separate checkboxes in the dialog; tick them if you also need volume\/pan\/EQ\/effects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Retime\/Speed:<\/strong> If you want speed changes, include Retime<\/strong> in the selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • If \u201cPaste Attributes\u201d is greyed out:<\/strong> Make sure you copied a clip first (Step 3) and that at least one target clip is selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Note:<\/strong> This also works in the Cut Page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
