Insert it into the right side of the switcher. <strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: The SD Card Slot is labeled on the right side of the switcher. It is the bottom slot. Do no put the card anywhere but that bottom slot, other slots are for the internal fan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adventistlearningcommunity.net\/alcwiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/avmatrix_pvs0615u_15_6_portable_6_channel_1606903535_1607546.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.adventistlearningcommunity.net\/alcwiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/avmatrix_pvs0615u_15_6_portable_6_channel_1606903535_1607546.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1057\" width=\"417\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adventistlearningcommunity.net\/alcwiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/avmatrix_pvs0615u_15_6_portable_6_channel_1606903535_1607546.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.adventistlearningcommunity.net\/alcwiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/avmatrix_pvs0615u_15_6_portable_6_channel_1606903535_1607546-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.adventistlearningcommunity.net\/alcwiki\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/avmatrix_pvs0615u_15_6_portable_6_channel_1606903535_1607546-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 417px) 100vw, 417px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>AVMatrix Switcher Button Layout<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Internal Setup:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Power on the switcher, button is on top row towards the right, and labeled \u201cpower\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the bottom left of the controls, the \u201cSRC 1\u201d button controls which audio is on channel one, \u201cSRC 2\u201d controls which audio is on channel 2, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the bottom right of the screen, the \u201cStatus\u201d box shows which input is going to which audio channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the bottom half of the screen, you can view the connected cameras and computers. Check which input they are by looking at the label of the box you view them on. The first 3 characters of the label should be \u201cIN1\u201d, \u201cIN2\u201d etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Match the cameras and computers inputs to the audio channels by pressing the \u201cSRC 1\u201d SRC 2\u201d &amp; \u201cSRC 3\u201d buttons. Example: If your cameras are showing the the box labeled \u201cIN3\u201d and IN4\u201d and your computer is showing in the box labeled \u201cIN5\u201d; press \u201cSRC 1\u201d until the status box on the bottom right of the screen shows \u201cCH1\u201d as \u201cIN3\u201d. Then press \u201cSRC 2\u201d until the status box shows \u201cCH2\u201d as \u201cIN4\u201d, then press \u201cSRC 3\u201d until the status box shows \u201cCH3\u201d as \u201cIN5\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the \u201cMaster\u201d button on the bottom left of the control panel. It should now be lit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Control which audio is being used for the switcher\u2019s recording by using the \u201cCH1\u201d CH2\u201d and \u201cCH3\u201d buttons on the bottom left of the switcher. Whichever \u201cCH\u201d your main audio is tied to needs to be lit, which you do by pressing the appropriate \u201cCH\u201d button once. When it is lit, it is going to the program. Example: If the camera your lapel mics are connected to is \u201cIN3\u201d and in the previous step you connected \u201cIN3\u201d to \u201cCH1\u201d; you should press the \u201cCH1\u201d button.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want audio being recorded on the switcher from more than one device, press the appropriate \u201cCH\u201d button for the other cameras\/laptops as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the \u201cListen\u201d button on the bottom left of the control panel until the \u201cStatus\u201d box on the bottom right of the screen shows \u201cEarphone\u201d as \u201cPGM\u201d. Your headphones should now have the audio you want being recorded on the switcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: You can press the \u201cListen\u201d button to check audio levels on your other cameras as well, however you should mostly be listening to \u201cPGM\u201d to make sure your main audio is correct.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Operating Switcher:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the bottom half of the screen, you can view the connected cameras and computers. Check which input they are by looking at the label of the box you view them on. The first 3 characters of the label should be \u201cIN1\u201d, \u201cIN2\u201d etc. The number after \u201cIN\u201d represents which input the devices you\u2019ve connected are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two bars labeled \u201c1\u201d \u201c2\u201d \u201c3\u201d \u201c4\u201d \u201c5\u201d \u201c6\u201d \u201cColor Bar\u201d on the bottom center of the control panel. The upper of these two bars controls which input is being sent to the program recorded by the switcher. The numbers represent the devices (cameras\/laptops) you have connected to the switcher. When you press a button, it should turn red, and the associated input device should show in the top right of the screen. Control which input you cut to by using these buttons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are about to begin, press the \u201cREC\u201d button on the top row, left half of the control panel. Stop recording when done by pressing the \u201cREC\u201d button again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Lower Thirds:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You only need to follow these steps if you are intending to utilize the AVMATRIX to insert already created lower thirds into you program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before recording, press the \u201cChroma Key\u201d button\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The box on the bottom right of the screen should now be labeled \u201cKey\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turn the circular knob labeled \u201cMenu\u201d until \u201cBackground\u201d is highlighted in the box on the screen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the circular \u201cMenu\u201d knob<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBlue\u201d should now be highlighted in the box on the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turn the circular \u201cMenu\u201d knob<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The box on the screen should now have \u201cBackground\u201d as \u201cGreen\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the \u201cChroma Key\u201d button again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two bars labeled \u201c1\u201d \u201c2\u201d \u201c3\u201d \u201c4\u201d \u201c5\u201d \u201c6\u201d \u201cColor Bar\u201d on the bottom center of the control panel. The numbers represent the devices (cameras\/laptops) you have connected to the switcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When recording and ready to insert your lower third, open your lower third file on your laptop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the appropriate number button to send the input you want to put the lower third over to the \u201cProgram\u201d window on the top right of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the appropriate number button to send your laptop lower third input to the \u201cPreview\u201d screen on the top left of the switcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the \u201cChroma Key\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To display your lower third in the program, move the lever on the right side of the control panel to opposite of wherever it is currently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When done displaying the lower third, move the lever on the right side of the control panel back to it\u2019s original position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the \u201cChroma \u201cKey\u201d button again. <strong>DO NOT FORGET THIS STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can now continue as usual with switching.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>External Setup: Plug in the switcher power cord and connect it to the switcher.
