Goal: Copy effects/settings from one clip and apply them to one or more other clips in the Edit page timeline.
Steps
- Go to the Edit page.
Click the Edit workspace at the bottom of Resolve. - Select the source clip.
In the timeline, click the clip that already has the settings you want. - Copy the clip’s attributes.

Ctrl+C
(You can also right-click the clip ➜ Copy.)
- Mac:
- Select the target clip(s).
Click the clip you want to update.- To paste to multiple clips, Shift-click a range or Cmd/Ctrl-click to pick several.
- Open Paste Attributes.

Option+V - Windows:
Alt+V
(Or right-click on a selected target clip ➜ Paste Attributes…. You can also use Edit ➜ Paste Attributes… from the top menu.)
- Mac:
- Choose what to paste.
In the dialog, tick only the attributes you want (common options include Transform, Cropping, Composite, Retime, Stabilization, OFX/Plugins, Audio Volume/Pan/EQ, etc.). - Apply.
Click Apply. The chosen settings are pasted to all selected target clips.
Quick notes
- Multiple clips: You can paste to many clips at once—select them all before Step 5.
- Audio vs Video: Audio attributes are separate checkboxes in the dialog; tick them if you also need volume/pan/EQ/effects.
- Retime/Speed: If you want speed changes, include Retime in the selection.
- If “Paste Attributes” is greyed out: Make sure you copied a clip first (Step 3) and that at least one target clip is selected.
